What did you just say????

This blog is written from a parent’s perspective, however is for anyone that is around children or , working with them …….you will relate….

Did you ever have a moment where something a child said, stopped you in your tracks….sometimes we laugh and say “wow! “Out of the mouths of babes”

Other times we wonder how do they know this stuff?

We as parents, did not think the day we were becoming a parent, that one day my kids are going to teach me how to grow…that is because when we are becoming parents we believe we have most of the answers and will give and do the best we can for our children. continue reading

Yet somewhere through child rearing, the universe turns us upside down and the message or lesson we need most comes from our “mini me” ( often in parenting for their challenge) forcing us to look inside and dig deep to bring back to the surface a person, place or event that we have pushed down and tried to bury…..The universe had a plan that one day you will have to let  these past hurts, lessons and reminders come to the surface to be released.

Let’s face it, this August has been so full of these reminders!

I share this with you, as it seems to be quite the repeating pattern with many of my clients. Our children our often more knowledgeable then we consider or give them credit for…..another situation is that they just say something, that to them,  really meant nothing,  however the message was meant for you and it hit you to your core and you got it….loud and clear.

How about those wonderful heart gripping stories where the pre-schooler saved dad or mom or a sibling by calling 911 or providing CPR…..

Do not doubt for a second, the power of a child or the messages they deliver.

Children are miracles and blessings wrapped up in a fun-loving, temperamental,  button pushing, over the top loving package….they make you realize, and come to understand every emotion a human being is made of.
